Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao chaired a committee of State Council on the 25th, examined and approved in
principle the adjustment of non-ferrous metals industry and the revitalization of logistics planning, study and
deploy and play a supporting role in the deployment of science and technology, promoting economics¡¯ stable and
rapid development.
The meeting pointed out, logistics is the complex services industry of the integration in transport, warehousing,
freight agent and information, involving wide areas to absorb more employment, promote the production and
stimulate consumption in function. However, the behind overall level of China's logistics industry, severely
constrained the improvement of economic efficiency. Must accelerate the development of modern logistics, set
up a modern logistics services system to promote the development of other industries.
Firstly, we should actively expand the logistics market demand, promoting logistics and production, interactive
commerce business development, pushing logistics socialization and specialization.
Secondly, we must accelerate the pace of mergers and acquisitions, foster a number of high service levels,
internationally competitive large-scale modern logistics enterprises.
Thirdly, we must promote energy, mining, automotive, agricultural, pharmaceutical and other key areas of
logistics, to speed up the development of international logistics and bonded logistics.
Fourthly, we must strengthen the construction of logistics infrastructure, improve logistics and information
standardization level.
The meeting identified the revitalization of the logistics industry in nine key projects, including multimodal
transport and transit facilities, logistics parks, urban distribution, commodity and rural logistics, manufacturing
and logistics joint development, logistics standards and technology promotion, logistics public information
platform , logistics technology research and emergency logistics.
